Weather
Banwa Private Island has its own micro-climate due to its specific island location. As a result, the temperature and rainfall/humidity statistics can differ significantly to those on the Palawan mainland.
To ensure we can record and document the true picture month-by-month, we have invested in a dedicated weather station on-island, which accurately monitors temperature, humidity, wind speed/direction, solar radiation, and precipitation.
Importantly, as well as providing these key climate statistics, this leading-edge equipment also calculates the amount of water lost from the soil due to evaporation and plant transpiration. This allows us to create automated irrigation schedules which helps prevent over-watering.
